Rayelene is a Risk, Audit and Governance Consultant who has experience in both the private and non-profit sectors. She is currently managing her own practice, Unam Solutio, that works with NPOs and private sector clients. Previously, Rayelene was the Interim Head of the International Internal Audit function for ActionAid International and worked across 45 countries, whilst based in Sweden. She is the Audit Chairperson for TIPS (Trade & Industrial Policy Strategies) and also a General Assembly member and Advisory Complaints Board member for HQAI (Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative) – based in Geneva, Switzerland. Rayelene is passionate about education and creativity amongst young people and is a founding member to Non-profit, People Solutions in Action (PSA). She currently holds a B. Comm (Risk Management) and a Masters in International Comparative Education from Stockholm University.
Elenette Brookes, an Employment Law Specialist and admitted Legal Practitioner, holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce and is no stranger to leadership, participation, and community engagement. Elenette is a diligent, ethical and innovative individual who believes in enhancing the quality of life of South Africans, regardless of their age and background, through compassionate and diligent service delivery. Her hobbies include interior design, reading, writing and meeting new people.
Tlou Ledwaba is a multifaceted man: an accomplished chartered accountant, academic, business leader, pastor and motivational speaker dedicated to the growth of young people. TJ is an aspiring Registered Auditor and is currently enrolled for the Audit Development Program with IRBA. Most notably, he was appointed as an Accounting Member of the Tax Court by the President in 2018, providing expert advice to the presiding judges of the Tax Court as an accounting. TJ has long been a man whose work has a lasting impact on others as a keen mentor and enjoys serving in local communities.
Elena Mancebo is an experienced consultant on planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Over the past 12 years, she has worked for governments, non-profit and development aid organisations primarily in the African continent. She has recently worked in the fields of human rights education, entrepreneurship and the green economy, as well as education and youth leadership. She is a tutor on Social impact Measurement for the Social Enterprise Academy Africa. She holds a BA (Honours) of Social Science in Political Science from Madrid, where she is originally from. Sustainability and the future of African Cities is her latest passion, and in 2020, she obtained a postgraduate diploma and a master’s in philosophy in Sustainable Development Planning at Stellenbosch University. In her spare time, you will find Elena doing yoga, playing tennis, gardening or hiking mountains with her family.
Sofia Neves is the Life Choices Managing Director. In 2005, she helped the Salesians to establish the organisation. She holds an Honours Degree in Animal Science and a Masters Degree in Marketing & Communication with Rome Business School. Ms. Neves joined the development field in 2001 in an OVC programme in Mozambique and has since gathered a vast experience in the non-profit sector across various disciplines, in several African countries.
Innocent has a Diploma in Philosophy, BA in Philosophy, Postgraduate Diploma in Reflective Social Practice and M.A Philosophy of Social Innovation. He has over 10 years in development, fundraising, communications and organisational development experience. He joined Life Choices in 2010 as a Junior Project Coordinator and was appointed as Sustainability Officer in 2013.
